第一乐章 快板，C小调，协奏曲型的奏鸣曲式。以合奏开始呈示的第一主题内包含有分散和弦、减七度的跳跃音程和半音阶动机等。第二主题并未上场便结束了乐队呈示部，主奏钢琴上场，乐队的第一主题再度登场，钢琴边弹奏其中的动机，并以此为基础发展成快速音群。第二主题以关系大调，先由钢琴再由木管呈示。钢琴再弹奏快速音群，接着在双簧管引导下，另一副主题登场，钢琴模仿，在长笛的第一主题衬托下，钢琴再以快速音群引出经过部。发展部先以钢琴以第一主题动机开始发展，乐队合奏第一主题后，钢琴再以快速技巧化展开。再现部乐队和钢琴一起再现第一主题，第二主题与副主题以C小调再现，华彩乐段后，钢琴以分散和弦而告终。
