降A大调 “牧羊人的笛子” 4/4拍，绵延的快板，琶音练习曲。三段体式，第一段降A大调、F小调、降E大调、降A大调、C大调;第二段f小调、降A大调、C大调、A大调、降D大调、降b小调转降A大调;第三段为降A大调。肖邦曾经对他的学生解释这个作品：“牧童因暴风雨来临，避难于安全的洞穴。远处风雨大作，牧童却若无其事地取出笛子，吹出风雅的旋律。”肖邦把右手每组十六分音符的第一个音和左手的根音在乐谱上都让用大号铅字印出。由于它听起来象首竖琴曲，所以国内很多人也称它为“竖琴练习曲”。
