The Punch and Judy Show - Gracie Fields
Written by:Black
Come with me
And I will take you back again
To days of long ago
Where we used to get around
To see them every punch and Judy show
Just a cream and papers pact to chronic
Made a coloured pal we go
And wouldn't people just be jumping through and throw
There was flich coming with a fellow
With this honeymelons and chin
And his wife the better known as Judy Rookain Gaylit looking in
There were many other little figures
Some were out and some were in
But the kids are waiting very anxiously
So let the show begin
The curtains are opened
Do we see oh goodness me
Punch will they clap
It hits more Judy on the hand
Then up comes a policeman in his suit of blue
Brave and true
Punch with brood knocks the poor old Bobby dead
Oohoohoo hoohoohoo
All the kids they began to laugh
Oh geez with lots of fun
Then yelling round to all the crowd
That punch that snobby one
And up comes the hangman
So tall and slim sturd and brim
He slids up his yellows
And says I'm after you
Oh then a fight
What a sight
They struggle on the floor
With a blow punch lays him low
And he is seen no more
Now the show is very nearly over
How we hate to see it end
All figures clap back for the finish
See them make a gracious bend
Of all the things that too good
Very fancy in the days of love are gone
There were none that made us quite so happy
As the punch and Judy show
Toodoodoodoo toodoodoodoo too doo
Too doo too doo too
