Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64, MWV O14: II. Andante-Berliner Philharmoniker/Wilhelm Furtwängler
第二乐章，采用了ABA形式的三段体，拥有两个对比性的主题，很容易让人想起门德尔松自己的无言歌。三段体中的第一段安静甜美，为6/8拍的中音C。之后乐曲的调性转变为G小调，虽然内容是对首部的变化，但情绪不如首部稳定。当调性恢复到C大调后，乐曲恢复了平静。中段采用急促的敲击，独奏小提琴大量采用双音和八度音演奏，同乐队一起营造出惆怅的情绪。接着第一主题再次出现，随后回到首部。在以C音结束以前，独奏小提琴需要熟练的颤音进行伴奏，这使得本乐章的结尾归于平静。
