[ti:Murphy And The Bricks] [ar:Barnbrack] [al:Christmas Countdown] [by:] [offset:0] [00:00.80]Dear sir i write this note to you to tell you of my plight [00:06.30]For at the time of writing i am not a pretty sight [00:11.11] [00:11.89]My body is all black and blue my face a deathly grey [00:17.04] [00:17.57]And i write this note to say why paddy's not at work today [00:22.56] [00:23.60]Whilst working on the fourteenth floor some bricks i had to clear [00:28.48] [00:29.12]To throw them down from such a height was not a good idea [00:34.02] [00:34.89]The foreman wasn't very pleased the bloody awkward sod [00:39.89] [00:41.01]He said i had to cart them down the ladders in my hod [00:46.17] [00:47.09]Now clearing all these bricks by hand it was so very slow [00:52.23] [00:52.76]So i hoisted up a barrel and secured the rope below [00:57.79] [00:58.44]But in my haste to do the job i was too blind to see [01:03.80] [01:04.71]That a barrel full of building bricks was heavier than me [01:09.43] [01:10.77]And so when i untied the rope the barrel fell like lead [01:15.64] [01:16.47]And clinging tightly to the rope i started up instead [01:21.99] [01:22.79]I shot up like a rocket till my dismay i found [01:28.51] [01:29.32]That half way up i met the bloody barrel coming down [01:35.13] [01:36.08]The barrel broke my shoulder as to the ground it sped [01:41.24] [01:41.86]And when i reached the top i banged the pulley with my head [01:47.03] [01:47.67]I clung on tightly numb with shock from this almighty blow [01:54.69]And the barrel spilled out half the bricks fourteen floors below [02:00.71] [02:01.60]Now when these bricks had fallen from the barrel to the floor [02:06.77] [02:07.38]I then outweighed the barrel and so started down once more [02:12.80] [02:13.72]Still clinging tightly to the rope my body racked with pain [02:19.71] [02:20.75]When half way down i met the bloody barrel once again [02:26.75] [02:27.78]The force of this collision half way up the office block [02:32.49] [02:33.35]Caused multiple abrasions and a nasty state of shock [02:38.15] [02:39.06]Still clinging tightly to the rope i fell towards the ground [02:45.13] [02:46.00]And i landed on the broken bricks the barrel scattered round [02:51.86] [02:53.11]I lay there groaning on the ground i thought i'd passed the worst [02:58.22] [02:58.92]But the barrel hit the pulley wheel and then the bottom burst [03:04.50] [03:05.48]A shower of bricks rained down on me i hadn't got a hope [03:11.53] [03:12.40]As i lay there bleeding on the ground i let go the bloody rope [03:18.12] [03:19.50]The barrel then being heavier then started down once more [03:24.60] [03:25.56]And landed right across me as i lay upon the floor [03:31.35] [03:32.12]It broke three ribs and my left arm and i can only say [03:39.40] [03:40.55]That i hope you'll understand why paddy's not at work today [03:48.91]Murphy And The Bricks - Barnbrack [03:49.86]
