Fantasia on Greensleeves (绿袖子幻想曲)-Andrew Davis
《绿袖子幻想曲》实际上是首室内乐作品，因为它只用了弦乐器、竖琴和长笛。乐曲是F小调、6/8拍、三部曲式。前面有一段引子，由长笛主奏，竖琴用轻柔的琶音为之伴奏。它把听众引入安详和宁静的气氛之中。这时，第二小提琴和中提琴开始呈现这首朴实的、单二部曲式的民歌主题，它是这样优美，似甘霖一样，一下子就把听众吸引住了；在乐曲进行中，第一小提琴插入对位旋律，把乐曲柔和的情调，烘托得更加感人至深。上面这段主题演奏一遍之后，第一小提琴用高八度音反复其后半段，情绪显得更明朗了。乐曲的中间部分，转成了C大调，4/4拍。主题选自另一首名叫《可爱的约翰》的民歌，很有特色，它反复了三遍：第一遍由小提琴演奏，第二遍由长笛独奏，第三遍提琴、长笛合奏。经过长笛吹奏的一小段“华彩”，再现了《绿袖子》民歌主题。但这一次换成了用中提琴和大提琴来演奏，因此，听起来更加深情感人。最后，乐曲在宁静的气氛中结束。
