本乐章有一别名，称为“史特拉斯堡”（德语：Straßburg），[3]是位于奥地利南部的一个市镇。各段落大致由两部分组成。主旋律(A1)以轻快为主，同样包含了大量的大幅度音程跳跃及分解和弦为主，而（A2)则以八分级进及重复音为主；独奏出现时带入了新乐段(B)，同样可再细分为两部分，(B1)首先是的一段模仿(A1)的反转模式，(B2)是一连串的十六分音符分解和弦组，及后突然带入(A2)段，并经过一些小过场而回到(A1)（间接地A段是再现了，但次序却反转了）。乐曲直接进入以b小调写成的C段，所用的材料其实全来自(B)。当中加入了调性的转移和装饰音的变化。乐曲慢慢移至e小调，引伸出一个小华彩段。及后A段再现，并以一个小过场形式作一个稍息。速度这时转慢为行板（Andante），Mensural proportion1.gif，弦乐的八分拨弦下，小提琴奏出一个有异国情调的g小调旋律，并引伸至另一个以D大调小快板（Allegretto）形式的舞曲。独奏以八分三连音及空弦双音为主，相关旋律共出现三次。接着全体回到回旋曲模式，一段以(A)及(B)旋律片段组合，但调性不太稳定的过场中，(B2)段以G大调重新出现，接着是加长了的(A2)引向最后一次的华彩乐段。最后独奏和乐队各自演奏(A1)，并以乐队演奏(A2)段安静地结束。
