三段体乐曲。这乐章长笛代替了双簧管。以D大调为主调。A段主题旋律是先以八分音符“曼海姆火箭”提升至高音域．再以如歌般的旋律为基础，在一连串的十六分音符三连音伴奏中优悠地弹奏出。乐队奏毕后，小提琴在高八度中重复演奏。副题部分延续主题的建构模式，但调性转为属调（A大调），长笛和小提琴独奏在互相呼应着，最后小提琴以伸延的旋律带进一个小高潮。B段乐曲转为b小调，但材料则仍以A段为骨干，但维持的时间不太长，全体便回到A段，并一直以D大调运作至华彩部分。最后独奏再一次引用开头部分的旋律，并在主和弦终止式中完结。
