Pachelbel's Canon In D Major-Christy Forsythe
《D大调卡农》是帕赫贝尔最着名的作品，也是最着名的卡农乐曲。它作于1680年，是巴洛克时期的室内乐作品，采用数字低音手法，供三个小提琴演奏。一开始低音乐器奏出两小节顽固八个低音，接下来三部的小提琴依次出现，低音乐器从头到尾重覆了二十八次同样八个音。一般在这一个曲子之后还附加上一首轻快的Gigue(吉格舞曲)形成一对来演出。Canon in D本身并非曲名，而是一种曲式，字面上意思是「轮唱」，简单的讲，就是有数个声部的旋律依次出现，交叉进行，互相模仿，互相追随，给人绵延不断的感觉。以Pachelbel原作中的七段乐句为基调，经由别出心裁的编曲安排，交相共鸣出多种音色效果。
