第二乐章，降B小调，2/2拍，复合的三段体。这是类似间奏曲般的短小急板。虽未标以谐谑曲，这个乐章实际上是非常典型而丰满的谐谑曲，表现了贝多芬性格滑稽的一面，尤其是交替性的中段，小提琴的三连音音型里坚持重复了54次，由于节奏上强调的是弱拍，f与p的交替就象是光线明暗的效果，充满了戏剧化的紧张度。
