[00:13.13]This man is at the door of hell [00:15.85]Somehow it seems to be his destination [00:18.78]After a life of subtle stubbornness [00:22.17]He doesn't expect to find himself waking up out of a dream [00:26.25]He doesn't expect to pinch himself [00:28.51]And wake up and that kind of thing [00:30.55]In fact the thought of that happening makes him smile [00:34.88]He's just mildly surprised to find himself there at the door of hell [00:44.14]To all accounts the kindly old man who is the doorman [00:49.85](And who conceivably reminds him of his father) [00:52.68]Is sat reading a book but he gets up smartly [00:55.93]And without time for either of them [00:58.26]To feel that they're standing on ceremony [01:01.49]Says hold my book for a minute [01:04.61]Would you while I get the door open [01:07.88]Presumably you know you need two hands to open the door [01:13.53]For some reason the old man doesn't [01:17.40]Just put his book down on the chair [01:22.45]It all happens quite quickly he finds that he's made a decision [01:26.63]And is already holding the old man's book [01:29.35]As just about anybody else would have but it seems a bit curious [01:33.93]Because in however small a way you like to consider it [01:38.61]It is as if he's helping himself enter hell the path of least resistance [01:45.45]Of course at the same time he suddenly thinks [01:48.82]Even as he finally grips the book This is my chance for a reprieve [01:54.08]The final test the straw which will tip [01:56.65]The good deeds over the bad [02:02.65]Next thing he knows they have exchanged opinions on the book [02:05.93]And he has handed it back to the old man [02:08.98]And is being shown into hell [02:10.98]
