第二乐章的音乐是吉他史上最令人心醉神驰的旋律，旋律柔和优美，如梦幻一般，经常被改编成由其他乐器单独演奏的曲目和轻音乐。在主奏吉它美妙的琶音衬托之下，先由整个乐队奏出略带哀婉气质的第一主题，而后主奏吉它加上花奏，对第一主题进行反复，在这一华彩段落中，主奏吉它尽情发挥其独特的抒情效果，十分动人。 接着，双簧管奏出更为动人的第二主题，在抒情的旋律音调下，主奏吉他不时卖弄著颤音的装饰奏，同时还以轻巧的拨弦，驰骋於各音域之上，变换出时而清脆明亮时而宽厚低沉的耀眼音色，高难度的吉它技巧，表现出更为缠绵的哀婉情绪。罗德里戈把这个乐章称作是“吉他与管弦乐器之间挽歌般的对话”。它是罗德里戈对蜜月期间的快乐时光以及与妻子携手漫步于阿兰胡埃斯公园的深情回忆。
