1986年4月20日，在阔别苏联六十年后，霍洛维茨在莫斯科音乐学院举行了钢琴独奏音乐会，在音乐会上霍洛维茨为苏联听众演奏了舒曼的《童年情景》中的梦幻曲。对霍洛维茨而言苏联是充满恩恩怨怨和感情波澜的地方。霍洛维茨说那一刻：“我想起了我的母亲、父亲和姐姐，想起午餐后烧起俄式茶饮，邻居们到我家来喝茶吃点心。我父亲是个智慧潇洒的人，邻居们都喜欢和他说话。”《童年情景》在霍洛维茨如云的乡愁里潺潺流过，观众也在舒曼的音乐中泪洒衣襟，为之动容。

💐舒曼: 童年情景 (梦幻曲) Op.15 No.7 ———————————— 霍洛维茨晚年 弹奏的舒曼《童年即景》OP.15, 是极受欢迎的演奏版本。他将这些分解和弦上的简单旋律, 弹的极富浓郁的怀旧气息, 这种怀旧的色彩, 正是一个老者, 对童年美好时光的追忆。 舒曼彷彿想藉由《梦幻曲》诉说, 其实不需要太多多馀的音符, 就能让时光流转, 回到最纯真的年代, 穿越时间长廊, 进入最需要抚慰的心灵深处。
💐古典音乐中, 蕴含的那份宁静致远, 和激情澎湃, 能给我们带来, 其他音乐类型 无法实现的心灵安慰, 与精神鼓舞。如今物欲横流、纷繁复杂的商业社会中, 古典音乐的天地, 无疑如同世外桃源。 🎹 钢琴, 乐器之皇, 在上千年的钢琴文化发展至今, 已经有, 不计其数, 脍炙人口的钢琴曲流传下来, 舒曼的“童年情景”, 更是其中的表表者。
1989年11月5日最后的浪漫主义者弗拉基米尔·霍洛维茨在纽约去世。死后，他被安葬在米兰托斯卡尼尼的家族墓园，紧挨着女儿索妮亚，下葬时放的背景音乐就是《童年情景》。当清澈的琴音穿过树林回荡在墓园的时候，父女在另一个时空相见，不知道他们回忆起了怎样的童年情景？
有人评价鲁宾斯坦的琴音是“一种亲切的存在和温暖的音调”，而霍洛维茨的琴音是“纯粹的情感”。
