How can we pretend that things are okay, that this is just how life is we can’t escape? The haves and the have nots, no longer puttin’ your money on the long shots cause you’re flat broke, so the underdog gets hung from that tightrope and the fat lady already hit those notes. So we save peace to hope, but I’d like to hope for peace listen to those with soft speech, emotions in check, even when their life’s a wreck, cause we got that focus. And one of these days the voiceless will get noticed, givin’ hope to the hopeless. Cause those who make the most noise, mainly spineless, Simon and Garfunkel sounds of silence, the quiet, can be timeless we must stand up and stop the violence. Start a revolution, stand behind it. Come together, no longer divided…divided. (Preston) Too much killing and dying everyday, so much pain for families, such a price to pay. Is there anything that we can do? See this is not a nation for killin, and raping, and theivin’ and homicide, ya’ll peace is the main objective. Yea, that’s a beautiful building, but look there’s a beggar outside that is A.I.D.S. infected, and he ain’t even rain protected. So he just gotta go to sleep with whatever his blanket’s wet with. And now he’s sad he’s alive, he used to have a mega phone, the batteries died, and everybody’s acting so mad about material things, but the homeless? This country can’t correct it. We need to take baby steps quick, nah, we need to take adult leaps. I dare you to ask the first bum that you see what he ate for breakfast when you on wall street.
