River City People是一支民谣摇滚四重奏组合，1986年在英国利物浦成立，由主唱Siobhan Maher、吉他手Tim Speed、鼓手Paul Speed、贝斯手Dave Snell组成。Siobhan、Tim和Dave都曾待在利物浦乐队Peep Show中，直到1987年夏天两个乐队共存。组合参加了英国Channel 4的《The Chart Show》节目，之后很快签约了EMI，在1989年中发布了首支单曲《（What's Wrong With）Dreaming?》。几个月后，专辑《Say Something Good》发布了，该专辑在洛杉矶录制，由传奇制作人Don Gehman制作。1990年夏天，乐队翻唱The Mamas＆The Papas的《California Dreamin》,成为了最大的热门歌曲。这首歌和《Carry The Blame》都是专辑的A-Side。《This Is The World》在1991年底发布，但是组合不久后解散了。
Maher之后和前Bangle成员Debbi Peterson组成了两人组Kindred Spirit，1995年在Capitol Records发布了同名专辑。她还在2002年发布了个人专辑《Immigrant Flower》。
