Whitebear

Birthed in the womb of a glacier in Antarctica, Whitebear lived off frequencies fed to him by android eskimos…After undergoing a twenty year hibernation, he has finally awoken. He then proceeded to embark on a 4,359 mile swim from his glacial home and has made his mark on the Australian electronic music scene- his sounds are also slowly seeping into the minds of glitch fans overseas. Complex soundscapes turn to glitch, break then flow; psychedelic sound infusions leak straight to the brain. Whitebear has a particular addiction to mangling samples and into twisted, dark sounds, coupling and contrasting them with infectious arpeggiations, crisp production and copious amounts of bass. Whitebear wisely combines glitch, IDM and ambient audible influence of bass and dubstep all with a serious psychedelic tone. Arthur Song is Whitebear. Originally from Malaysia he moved to Melbourne to pursue a career in music. Coming from a jazz/funk background, Arthur has decided to branch out and explore a completely different realm of music creation. A newcomer to the electronic music scene, Arthur has already made an impact, releasing his debut EP 'Inanimate Incarnate' on Enig'matik Records and with more to come- definitely one to keep and eye and ear out for . There is a lot in store for this young producer, and we can expect to see and hear from him for many years to come.
