Jane Monheit，1977年11月3日出生。 成长于美国纽约长岛一个音乐世家。曾学习黑管。也在当地剧院演出中担任过角色并登台演唱。17岁开始在曼哈顿音乐学校师从Peter Eldridge 开始正式声乐培训。最初的演出经历始于和大学男友Rick Montalbano，钢琴家David Berkman 等人的五重奏合作（Jane 和 Rick于2002年结婚）。
