Richard Rodgers和Lorenz Hart合作谱写了《Pal Joey》，歌曲使她变得有名。她演唱了歌曲《Bewitched,Bothered And Bewildered》。《Pal Joey》在1941年12月25日，在Ethel Barrymore Theatre表演，参加演出还有Gene Kelly和June Havoc。她也在电影《Morgan LeFay》中演Rodgers以及1942年的《A Connecticut Yankee》。Lorenz Hart最后的一首歌曲《To Keep My Love Alive》是专门为她谱写的。
