Star Slinger歌手简介
Star Slinger (Born Darren Williams) is a hip hop producer based in Manchester, UK taking influences from soul to shoegaze. He first came to the attention after self-releasing a beat tape via the internet in the summer of 2010 entitled "Volume 1". Williams was later asked by Broken Social Scene drummer Justin Peroff to remix Broken Social Scene officially via his Twitter account. Similarly, US actor / rapper, Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino posted "Like I Do" from the Rogue Cho Pa EP on his blog I Am Donald commenting "Ugh. I wanna kiss it. So dopeness." and soon after contacted Slinger to remix his single Freaks & Geeks.
Since Williams has picked up noteworthy press interest from Pitchfork Media, SPIN Magazine, Dazed & Confused Magazine, was named in the NME's Top 50 Bands of 2011 & was interviewed by Rob Da Bank on his BBC Radio 1 show. Williams is managed by Wichita Recordings along with fellow electronic artist Gold Panda.
