生涯
他的职业生涯早期，Camero在他的祖国古巴录音以及在哈瓦那的Tropicana酒吧作为Conga鼓手工作了八年。他第一次亮相是在纽约的《Tidbits》作为音乐评审，1946年在百老汇的Plymouth Theater为古巴舞蹈队Carmen And Rolando做表演。1948年他在美国第一次与Machito和His Afro-Cubans录制《El Rey Del Mambo》，同时与Dizzy Gillespie合作。1953年至1954年间，他在Billy Taylor三人组合中，1954年，他与Stan Kenton一起录音和表演。
