Timothy B. Schmit 于1947年10月30日出生，是成立于加州的老鹰合唱团中唯一的加州人。1970年Schmit加入Poco合唱团替补Meisner留下的贝斯手空缺，直到1977年9月加入老鹰合唱团才离开Poco，1984年重新归队。Schmit歌声属轻柔的高音，和低沈的贝斯恰成反比，所以有人戏称他是“Sing High, Play Low"。
