Rachel Stevens出身于英国一个中产阶级的犹太家庭中，并毕业于Ashmole School。她5岁就开始去戏剧学校学习。在15岁的一年，Stevens在5000竞争者中脱颖而出，成为Just 17杂志举办的模特大赛的胜者。在她接到第一份模特工作之后，她决定到London School of Fashion学习fashion business，毕业后做时尚公关工作，并于21岁加入流行乐团S Club 7.
