Recorded in the legendary Rainbow Studio in Oslo by the equally legendary Jan-Erik Kongshaug. 'A few years ago in Anna's hometown of Gothenburg, we were backstage at a venue peeking at the setlist of the cover band performing after us - "Ah, they're doing I Heard It Through The Grapevine" "I love Marvin Gaye" "That's a good song, we should try it" "Yes". At one of our concerts two days later, and without really any rehearsal - "Can we try it in G?" "OK, go!" - our duo version crystalized in front of an audience, and Grapevine has been in our setlist ever since. Most of these Covers joined our performances in similar ways - mentioning a band we both happen to like (always a big surprise, given our curiously different tastes in music), hearing a great performance on the radio on route to a gig and agreeing "We could do that!", or just suggesting a song one of us played in a previous musical incarnation that would be a natural for voice and piano. From our very first concert together in 2005 (with A Song For You) we've colored our sets with covers, and we hope the warm appreciation for them we've always received from our audience might be paid back with this album.' Though this is Annas first solo album she is not a newcomer on the jazz scene. In 2006 Anna and Steve Dobrogosz were nominated in the category Best Jazz at the Swedish version of the Grammy awards; Grammis, with the duos first album (and Annas debut) "It's Always You". .... "One".. With "One" Anna Christoffersson marks the beginning of her solo carrier. Though Anna is still very much within in the realms of jazz, "One" presents a new side of the artist as she fills the album with influences of soul, pop and RnB. On this very personal album, Anna has written most of the songs herself. A guest on the album is Steve Dobrogosz and the producer is Pablo Donaldo who adds to the album his own unique sound. ....
