Skip James（1909 年6月9日 - 1969年10月3日），是美国三角洲蓝调歌手、吉他手、钢琴家和作曲家，被誉为“蓝调的开创性人物之一”。 Skip James本名Nehemiah Curtis James，他出生在一个基督教家庭，父亲是浸信会牧师。家里人本希望他继承父业，可他很小的时候就与布鲁斯结缘。在很多人看来，布鲁斯是魔鬼的音乐，那些演奏布鲁斯的艺人，居无定所，颠沛流离，他们全都出卖了自己的灵魂。
