Travis Ryan

Travis Ryan is a study in contradictions. His tenor is a surprising combination of superb technical skill and as one reviewer puts it, "street weathered grit". He draws from an eclectic range of inspiration that spans decades and genres--from Radiohead and Johnny Cash to Jeff Buckley and Smashing Pumpkins. Ryan's music is the beneficiary of a style that is as inspired as it is original. Described as a true worship leader, Ryan aims to write songs for the church--true to form, yet beyond expectation. Ryan entered into music at an early age, as the middle child of a musical family--his first professional gig was a national Oldsmobile commercial at the age of 8. Ryan's resume features a pilot project with ABC and a long list of collaborative work with a host of musicians, including Brent Kutzle of OneRepublic, Josh Auer of Pax217, Steve Wiggins of Big Tent Revival, and Rick Founds. Ryan has performed several showcases for Virgin Records executives and has worked as an associate producer for projects at Marantha Music. Ryan has also lead worship for such organizations as Campus Crusade for Christ, Student Venture, The Purpose Driven Life Worship Conference, and at several universities. Recently, Ryan was reviewed by Worship Leader Magazine and had his original song "Given to Your Name" listed in November's "Song Discovery", where he was featured along with well-known names such as Michael W. Smith, Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche, Hillsong, Brooke Fraser, Brandon Heath and Christy Nockels. Travis Ryan currently leads worship for Saddleback San Clemente and has just released his debut self-titled album.
