Matt Goss

It is always exciting when a musician hears a song that they wrote being used to strengthen people in the Lord. It’s also very exciting when the song is used not only for that purpose, but to strengthen marriages and relationships as well. And that is how Matt Goss’s song, “When I’m With You” became known through Dr. Gary Chapman’s Radio broadcast. “This was a song intended to bless my wife as we celebrated our 11th Anniversary. I had no idea that this was going to be heard by so many people at this time.” It all started when Matt’s wife, Kim, heard about a contest Dr. Gary’s radio show was doing for Valentines day. She sent in “When I’m With You” and entered the contest. She just wanted people to hear what Matt had written her as a gift. Forgetting what Kim had done, Matt received a call while shopping in the supermarket to let him know that the song had been chosen to air on Dr. Chapmans broadcast. “I was completely caught off guard. After hearing what was going to happen I realized that the Lord was moving things faster than planned.” Matt’s purpose for the song was to tell his wife how much he loves her and how he feels about her. He is also unveiling the song at his home church, LCBC in PA, where Matt is the Worship Leader. “Marriages are being attacked in our culture, in the courthouse, in schools and now even in some churches. The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful family and whatever I can do to encourage or help strengthen relationships, well that’s a success.” Matt’s currently working on a new album slated to release this summer. Matt has had the honor of performing for President George W. Bush multiple times. Matt has lead worship at the Creation Festival East for 4 years. Matt is married to Kim and they have 3 beautiful children Isabella, Caleb & Lilah. Matt has been on the pastoral staff as Worship Leader at LCBC Church in Manheim PA for the last 9 years. In that time the church has grown from 700 to over 8000 people in attendance each week. He is a featured worship leader and speaker at Integrity Music seminars and many other conferences each year and his songs are being sung in churches all over the world.
