We Are The Ocean歌手简介
After forming in 2007, We Are the Ocean quickly made a name for themselves after signing to UK indie powerhouse Hassle (Alexisonfire, Trash Talk, Cancer Bats) to release their debut self-titled EP, winning a nomination for Best British Newcomer the following year. Its follow-up ‘Look Alive’ was released the following year, and debut full-length ‘Cutting Our Teeth’ came hot on its heels in early 2010. It was the emergence of second album ‘Go Now And Live’ in 2011, though, that cemented the band as a powerhouse-in-waiting of UK rock; packed with colossal choruses, the album enjoyed significant commercial success thanks to strong support from national press and Radio 1. It propelled We Are the Ocean onto Reading and Leeds’ mainstage and allowed them to go global, winning prestigious slots on Australia’s Soundwave tour and signing a US deal with the revered SideOneDummy (The Gaslight Anthem, Title Fight).
‘Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow’ marks a fundamental shift in the way people see We Are The Ocean, as they go onto bigger and better things than they could have imagined. The 10 tracks that comprise MTMT constitute an entirely new beginning for the Essex four-piece, while both paying lip-service to their roots and signaling a bright new future. This is the sound of a young band taking some gigantic risks and hearing them pay off, in some style. This is the moment they stand up and start fulfilling their potential.
“This,” states guitarist / vocalist Alfie Scully, “is how we’ve wanted to sound for years.”
