I Am Dive

A solid, powerful and personal “musical perfectionism”, in words of Tomás Fernando Flores, director of Radio 3 (Spanish National Radio Director). A sound than can hardly be compared to any band you have heard recently. You can find hints that lead you to Boards Of Canada, The Album Leaf or Sigur Rós, tangled in sober, deep melodies that take you to grounds where Mark Kozelek, Neil Young, José González or Father John Misty would feel cozy on. Every influence you find, opens the path to its perfect complementary opposite. I am Dive just made it to their very own sound and keep growing and shaping it with every record. The band have performed over two hundred shows within the last four years, counting tours in The US, The Uk, China, Canada and Japan among them, and concerts in Spain, France, Iceland or Ukraine, just to mention a few. Their latest album, “Music For Silent Running” marks a milestone in the band’s career, an instrumental imaginary soundtrack for the movie “Silent Running” (Douglas Trumbull, 1972). Being this the first album by I am Dive released via their own record label, WeAreWolves Records, one of the songs in it, “Sunset” is almost hitting half a million streams mark only in Spotify just four months after the release date.
