Wooden Wand是创作歌手James Jackson Toth的艺名，同时以WAND的名字进行录音。Toth录制的音乐风格吸取了各种常规和实验民谣和摇滚的影响，包括Psych Folk,Freak Folk,Free Folk和Indie。虽然2000年代早期到中期他与Devendra Banhart,Akron/Family和Joanna Newsom在New Weird America是标志性的表演者并与The Vanishing Voice合作过，Toth很难被分类为一个音乐类型;新的作品中具有Acid Folk,Free Jazz,Outlaw Country和Country-Tinged Rock的风格。Toth在许多的公司出现过，比如Kill Rock Stars,Ecstatic Peace!,Rykodisc以及Young God。
