We are an artist owned, independent label that specializes in New Age,World and Chill Out/ Lounge genres. Take a journey through our selection of Massage, Meditation, Yoga, Native American, Ambient and Contemporary World music where we artfully blend the organic sounds of acoustic guitar, African drums, didgeridoo, grand piano, global chants, horns, Native flute, nature sounds and sax with synthesizer, contemporary beats and modern instrumentation. We are influenced by the world’s indigenous cultures and their respect and connection to nature that is heard through the use of native instruments, chants and nature sounds woven throughout our music. Our award-winningartists come from a variety of musical traditions including classical, jazz, indigenous and pop and many have charted on Billboard Top 15 (New Age Chart) and CMJ. In addition to creating innovative music, SOULFOOD provides studio services, licenses music and has wholesale opportunities for retailers. We have studios in Minneapolis, MN, located next to a nature preserve where the deer, pheasants, wild turkeys, turtles and hawks provide inspiration, and Santa Fe, NM, overlooking the Sange de Christo and Jemez mountains. We are committed to using recycled and natural products whenever possible and make an effort to donate CDs to public radio fund drives and other charitable events.
