The Disco Boys歌手简介
In order to be at the forefront of the German "rebirth of discomania," Gordon Hollenga and Raphael Krickow joined forces in 1995 and formed the campy, fun, and totally danceable Disco Boys. They earned a loyal following in their native Hamburg thanks to their exciting DJ sets, which mixed classic disco with current house tracks. Constant gigging spread the word, and soon the duo was playing sets at Germany's largest electronic music festivals, including Berlin's Love Parade and Dortmund's Mayday. In 2001, with the simple title Vol. 1, they began a successful series of mix CDs. That same year they began their production career with their own single, a cover version of the Patrick Hernandez classic disco hit "Born to Be Alive." Problems with their label, Kontor, began in 2004 when the label initially refused to release the single "For You." It was finally released after much protest from the duo, but the relationship was strained. In 2007 the seventh volume of their mix series became their final Kontor release, while new single "What You Want" appeared on their new label, Superstar.
