职业生涯
1938年Edwards出生于牙买加，他是15个孩子中的一个。受Nat King Cole的强烈影响，他从14岁开始表演。1959年他引起了Chris Blackwell的注意。1960年至1961年Edwards在牙买加有4首排名第一的单曲。
1962年Blackwell在伦敦建立了Island Records，Edwards跟随着他。Edwards为Island工作，当歌手、作曲家。他创作了《Keep On Running》和《Somebody Help Me》，在英国The Spencer Davis Group都成为排名第一的单曲。之后他作为录制艺术家继续工作，一直到20世纪80年代发行了许多正规专辑。他的许多作品由Bunny Lee制作，他也和The Aggrovators一起工作。2009年Dionne Bromfield将Edwards的歌曲《Oh Henry》放入她的专辑《Introducing Dionne Bromfield》中。
Edwards还当过制片人，以前由The Mexicano发行过1977年的专辑《Move Up Starsky》。
1992年8月Edwards因心脏病发作去世。
