In 2013, J released an audio track on YouTube for the single "Tight Skirt," which was built around a sample from the 1997 Red Rat dancehall cut "Tight Up Skirt." The song quickly caught on with the public, garnering over 15,000 views online. An official music video for "Tight Skirt" appeared online soon after.
