职业生涯
Weatherly为Ray Price，Lynn Anderson，Brenda Lee和Bob Luman写歌，但是最出名的是Gladys Knight＆The Pips翻唱的歌曲。Knight录制了Weatherly写的歌曲《Midnight Train To Georgia》，《Neither One Of Us》(Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye)和《Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me》。
Weatherly曾与The Gordian Knot在Verve Records一起录音，后来在RCA Records。在《Georgia》获得成功后与唱片签约，20世纪70年代他发表了一些专辑。
