挪威硬摇滚/前卫金属乐队Conception成立于1989年，是前卫金属乐史上独具特色的欧洲先驱乐队之一。
成员：主唱Roy Khan，吉他手Tore Østby，贝斯手Ingar Amlien，鼓手Arve Heimdal。

乐队在音乐方面根植于70年代以来的硬摇滚/金属乐，受到弗拉门戈、爵士、古典等多流派的广泛影响，并以主唱Roy受过古典训练的独特嗓音与吉他手Tore出色的演奏技巧为人称道。 乐队于90年代发行了4张录音室专辑，多次赴德国、日本等地演出并深受好评，1998年，由于希腊演出计划被突然取消等原因，乐队决定无限期搁置。此后，主唱Roy加入了美国力量金属乐队Kamelot，吉他手Tore组建了前卫金属乐队Ark，贝斯手Ingar组建了极端金属乐队Crest of Darkness。 2005年，乐队为ProgPower USA等音乐节进行演出。 2018年4月，Conception乐队宣布正式重组。11月，发行了单曲《Re:Conception》和EP《My Dark Symphony》。
