Apolo is proud to present Taboo, Barcelona's only event dedicated to the art of burlesque. This monthly show offers a fresh look at this theatrical subgenre of erotic dance born in Hollywood's so-called "golden age", during which the main ballroom of the Apolo club will transform to reflect the glamour of the past - a world of variety shows and vaudeville, of eroticism with a touch of class, mystery, and even comedy. The show features a base of impressive musical talent in the form of legendary Barcelona saxophonist Dani Nel•lo's quartet Mambo Jambo with the sexy, explosive voice of Myriam Swanson offering the perfect counterpoint to their repertoire of old-school rhythm'n'blues and swing. Our "girls from next door" will provide you a small range of sweets and peanuts to have with our amazing cocktails!
