Twista从12岁开始练习说唱音乐，Twista最早成为一名职业说唱歌手是在1991年，当时他签约Loud Records唱片公司，发行了个人的首张专辑《Runnin' Off At Da Mouth》，并被称为是当年进步最快的说唱歌手，Twista的名字第一次被更多的歌迷所熟知。
