Peter Rauhofer歌手简介
by Jason Birchmeier
New York house producer/DJ/labelhead Peter Rauhofer had a taste of crossover success in the mid-90s as Club 69, a sexploitative electronica moniker he designed for himself and his diverse roster of collaborators. Rauhofer took main production credits on albums like Adults Only (1995) and Style (1997), though its worth noting that he worked with a number of co-producers like Eric Kupper and vocalists like Kim Cooper. Nonetheless, Rauhofer garnered most of the attention for his salacious house-inflected electronica albums. The albums themselves arent particularly noteworthy, being, like many albums of the mid- to late-90s electronica boom, desperate attempts to cater dance music to the curious masses of the time. Each album would typically feature one or two quality songs, Let Me Be Your Underwear, Alright, and Muscles being some of the more well-known hits. As the albums packaging may lead you to presume, Rauhofer heavily targeted the homosexual male community and used his success as Club 69 to launch Star 69 Records and his own New York-centric DJing career.
