The current incarnation of DH is a seamless blend of the old and the new, creating something important for the future. A storm of riffs moving through tracks in contiguous repetition, a dysrhythmic cadence of snares and the doom clock ticking of hi hats, underlaid by the distant thunder of intricate double kick wizardry and a sludge-torrent of bass that makes the listener a complicit victim in sonic terror. Gutter-throated voices vomit violence and angst, while the shrieks of the damned create an almost overbearingly lucid reality of horror.
