Chalice Of Blood

瑞典黑金属乐队，组建于2005年。 CHALICE of BLOOD was formed in early 2005 by the same enigmatic duo that recorded and released the ”Angelus Diaboli” demo caseette via the now defunct Satanic Propaganda Records the same year. The demo was highly simplistic, building on the tradition that bands like VON since long had set the standard for, and to the most extent improvised in the studio. The band was expanded the following year with another instrumentalist, creating a completely new sound and intensity to the primitive and trance-like pounding that can be said to constitute CHALICE of BLOOD’s trademark. This new ensemble recorded two tracks during Samhain 2006, during a semi-improvised recording ritual, that would later be released as a split 10” with ARKHA SVA in 2009. This release was heavily delayed due to the unexplainable production habits by the German record label Sigilla Malae (which now incidentally also is defunct). Already before the split with ARKHA SVA was released, new tracks for a forthcoming release was to a large extent being composed. But as things would have it, the recording sessions for this new material did not take place until a few years later. In late 2013 the band announced that they would release a split 7” with Dutch masters ISRATHOUM on Daemon Worship Productions in 2014. The same label will also handle CHALICE of BLOOD’s first ”major” release, a 5-track MLP production that should be available by the end of 2014. "Angelvs Diaboli" Recorded May 2005.
