G3就是由Joe Satriani和他的徒弟Steve Vai外加上一个邀请嘉宾所组成的一支现场乐队。通常三个人会先分别独奏，然后在现场的最后会三个人一起合奏。在一共发行过的三场演奏会里来说，Live At Denver是摇滚味最浓的一张了。Joe Satriani这次演奏的歌曲大多都是节奏鲜明，并且快速的曲目；虽然我向来对Steve Vai不怎么感冒，但Steve Vai这次的表演也非常令人惊讶，尤其是I'm the hell outta here这支，真是令我五体投地……还有，他的乐队也是Steve Vai这么久以来最好的一支了（听听他的Bass吧……）；而这次的特邀嘉宾Yngwei Malmsteen，就不多说了，元老中的元老，大师中的大师
