Planxty 是1972年1月成立的爱尔兰民间乐队，最初由Christy Moore（主唱，原声吉他，bodhrán），Andy Irvine（主唱，曼陀林，曼陀罗，bouzouki，hurdy-gurdy）组成。口琴），DónalLunny（bouzouki，吉他，bodhrán，键盘）和Liam O'Flynn（uilleann pipe，tin whistle）。他们改变和推广爱尔兰民间音乐，巡演和录音，获得好评。
随后，Johnny Moynihan，Paul Brady，Matt Molloy（长笛），Bill Whelan（键盘），Nollaig Casey（小提琴）以及简短的Noel Hill（六角琴）和Tony Linnane（小提琴手）也是临时成员。
Planxty解散两次，第一次是在1975年12月和1983年4月。原来的四重奏在2003年10月重新统一，他们的最终表现是在2005年1月31日。
